Originally established in November of 1993 by
our founder Diane Kitterman, we operated under the name of Great Lakes
Temporary Services. Our original company vision was to provide
quality secretarial services to area businesses. Within three
months, the demand for a full service employment agency became apparent
and the business expanded.
By April of 1994, business was booming and Diane's husband, Jim,
joined the company, assisting with the needs of the growing business. Within
a year, Diane's brother, Bob Seggerman, retired from the Air Force and
began serving our customers in Spencer and Spirit Lake, Iowa.
In 1997, our first branch office was established
in Carroll, Iowa operating under the name of Heartland Personnel
Services.
To clarify our
role in helping people find long term employment, we
changed our Spencer name to Great Lakes Personnel Services, Inc. in
1997.
Our
second branch office was opened in Spirit Lake, Iowa in February of
1998.
By May 2000, our vision to bring the world to our local communities via internet,
prompted us to change our name to Employment Connections, Inc. As
we continue to broaden our horizons, we maintain our focus by adapting
to the changing employment world in order to better serve our clients. |
