40060 Heavy Duty Diesel Equip Mechanic Depend on Qualifications Trial Hire
A heavy duty Diesel Equipment Mechanic position is available just outside of Carroll.  Diesel mechanic must have experience in repairing, maintaining, and rebuilding diesel engines that power heavy duty trucks.  To repair engines, mechanic will run diagnostic tests, find the sources of problems, and then remove and replace faulty parts.  Mechanic must also know how to maintain engines, check water-cooling systems or clean air and oil filters to prevent engine parts from breaking down.  Mechanics must also know how to take the engines completely apart, replace worn parts, and put the engines back together, as well as repair air-brakes.  Diesel mechanics must have knowledge of all kinds of tools, including pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, grinders, drills, and lathers; mechanic may need to provide own tools.  Candidate must also know how to use testing equipment such as dynamometers.  Class A CDL required or must be able to obtained.  Job requires moderate to heavy lifting and other strenuous activities.  Wage depends on qualifications-education, experience, and knowledge.  For immediate consideration, please apply today.  Physical and drug screen may be required.  EOE
