Spencer area processing plant looking for the right individual to fill the role of Production Team Leader. This is a direct hire management position.

Responsibilities:

·        Day-to-Day Product Management (75% of the time):

o   Follow and enforce all safety and bio-security procedures

o   Ensure a safe and clean work environment. Strictly following all company and OSHA safety procedures.

o   Review daily manufacturing operation with respect to overall efficiency, product requirement, and current established production schedule.

o   Coordinate all preventative and routine maintenance with Maintenance Manger

o   Verifies and reviews completion of operation reports, log tracking and other required paperwork.

o   Conducts inventory audits and ensures inventory levels of supplies and directs. The activities of the supply room and supply purchasing

·        People, Process, and Product Management (25% of the time):

o   Interviews, hires, leads and supervises production and sanitation team members

o   Trains, coaches and leads associated to achieve performance, quality cost and service goals

o   Continuously evaluates production process in order to recommend and implement process improvement

Qualifications:

·        Associate degree required (B.A. or B.S preferred)

·        Previous experience in manufacturing, supply chain, maintenance, environmental and safety disciplines. Food production experience is a plus.

·        3+ years of leadership and/or production supervision experience with knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, and GMP

·        Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Ability to explain training materials to operating staff.

·        Post-offer, pre-employment drug screen
