Diesel Mechanic has the responsibility maintaining the fleet of semi-tractors and other diesel-powered vehicles. This is a trial hire position with the intention of becoming a long-term full-time employee of Midwest Industries. The pay for this position will depend upon the skills and experience of the candidate.

Responsibilities:

·        Perform all levels of maintenance services with the primary focus on all heavy duty trucks and trailers.

·        Test lines, components and connections using electrical, mechanical tools.

·        Maintain a steady workflow by performing prescribed procedures accurately and timely.

·        Identify, execute and document all repairs.

·        Perform duties with minimal supervision.

·        Follow all company instructions, safety policies and rules.

·        Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Requirements:

·        Vocational degree or the equivalent level of on-the job experience.

·        Class A CDL preferred.

·        Previous experience desired but not required.

·        Ability to understand spoken and written instructions in English

·        Stable work record

·        Reliable transportation.

·        Post-offer, pre-employment drug screen
