Recruiting/HR Assistant

Core duties will be recruitment related processes – advertising, posting jobs, sourcing & reviewing candidates, screening/interviewing, pre-employment screening, new hire paperwork and onboarding/orientation processes. Will also assist with the reception desk and support other HR or administrative functions as needed.

 

KEY JOB DUTIES:

 

  • Helps to coordinate overall recruitment and interviewing processes; administers pre-employment screening.
  • Coordinates the new hire process and onboarding.
  • Delivers new coworker orientation.
  • Prepares and analyzes human resource related data as needed and/or directed.
  • Drives continuous improvement of human resource processes.
  • Supports the needs of the reception area/front lobby by greeting all persons, conducting health checks, ensuring all persons properly sign the necessary documents, receive badges and safety eyewear; operates the phone system, and maintains Confidentiality Agreements.
  • Helps to coordinate events and meetings, including food and beverages, etc. as needed.
  • Creates and coordinates various communications and helps to post internally or externally as appropriate.
  • Responds and supports other aspects of HR as requested.

 

REQURIED EXPERIENCE:

 

  • 2yrs + of Human Resources related experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Professional of Human Resources certification preferred

COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Must have excellent listening and communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal), and effective presentation skills.
  • Must be readily approachable and agreeable to answer coworker’s questions and address coworker issues.
  • Must be adaptable/flexible; welcomes change and facilitates teamwork.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Must be computer and social media savvy.
  • Able to manage projects and multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Dayforce in particular, preferred.
  • Must demonstrate effective problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as sound judgment.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to keep information confidential and work with sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and energy.
  • Must pass post-offer, pre-employment drug screen.
